  • We work with children and youth of all ages, including: toddlers (18 months-3 years), preschoolers (3-5), elementary and high school-aged students, as well as young adults.

  • Great question! Sessions can be provided in your home, at your child’s daycare or preschool, in-centre at This Word's Ours in Vancouver, or virtually when appropriate.

  • Yes, we are on the Registry for Autism Service Providers (RASP) list and are able to accept AFU funding for children under 6.

  • We are able to accept payment from Autism Funding Unit (AFU), At Home Program (AHP), Variety, and CKNW. Please let your therapist know which funding source you would like to use.

  • You will need to check directly with your extended health plan provider to see if you have Speech Language Pathology coverage. If so, our receipts will contain all the information you need for reimbursement from your insurance provider.

  • The free consultation consists of a 15 minute phone call between the therapist and parent. The SLP will ask some background questions about your child’s communication, what their interests are, and what your concerns are at this time. After this call, we can determine if an assessment or therapy might be right for you.
